On reflection…
2017
The 3rd Sunderland Shorts returned from 4 – 6 May 2017, celebrating filmmaking talent from all over the World.
In 2017, a pop-up festival featured 7 screenings, each covering a mix of genres and styles, with comedy, drama, documentary, animation, sci-fi, and art/experimental represented at each event.
Sunderland Shorts also ran a series of professional development workshops to further support and nurture the abilities of local filmmaking talent. This included The Art of Steadicam – delivered by Ian McPake, How to Develop a Career in Film – delivered by Steve Bowden, Drone Training – delivered by Roar Motion and Bullet-Time Photography – delivered by New World Designs.
