Synopsis:
Death Is Smoking My Cigars is a poem published in 1987 by the American author Charles Bukowski (1920–1994). The poem has long been a favourite of the core Misfit Productions team. It evokes a life-affirming defiance which is core to the ethos of the studio’s founder, AJ Leon. As a tribute to one of our favourite pieces, we undertook the first ever animated adaptation of Bukowski’s poem, combining a rousing reading with a lush, original aesthetic.
