Synopsis:
Street Friends,’ is a short observational documentary that aims to shed light on the ever growing homeless crisis in the North of England, and gives a voice to the often overlooked members of society. Filmed in Newcastle and Sunderland, the documentary follows the charity, ‘North East Homeless’ (NEH), at their outreach programs where they provide food and clothing to the less fortunate. We hear stories from both the volunteers and the street friends themselves about their situation and their views on the government’s role in this crisis.
