Synopsis:
Pressing on my Mothers Bed is a film exploring the obscurity of being alive. Its contextual focus is on ancestral trauma held in our spirit, how that runs through our physical body and how it mirrors our natural environment with the cycle of birth, rebirth, death and decay. Pressing on my Mothers Bed is about listening, holding, meeting and expelling our shuddered breath. Inspired by folklore, a woman performs transcendental rituals in a forest that lead her to the help of three pregnant bunny women who harvest the cress from her dress and transfer the cress into their stomachs while listening to the woman recite a poem.
