Thursday is Comedy night at Sunderland Shorts Film Festival! Join us for two comedy short film screenings & live stand-up from FELT NOWT.

Find the funny at this year’s Sunderland Shorts with a night dedicated to comedy! Along with two screenings of comedy short films and sketches, this special event also features 3 live stand-up sets from Felt Nowt.

North East based Felt Nowt are the only comedy company run by comedians for comedy fans.

Lee Kyle (Compare)
One of the countries most in demand comedy hosts, Lee Kyle was a professional wrestler for nine years before taking up stand up comedy and is known for an individual style that varies from quick witted crowd work to wordy and leftfield routines.

Neil Harris (Act 1)
Neil Harris has supported acts such as Tom Stade and Richard Herring and is known for creating odd yet politically charged Edinburgh Festival shows with his animated double act partner, a lion called Helpy who was sacked from CBeebies for biting a child.

Kelly Edgar (Act 2)
Kelly Edgar is a comedian who moved back to Seghill after twenty lost years in bands in London, and quickly emerged as one of the most distinctive new acts in the region in years. She won the Felt Nowt New Act of the Year 2020.

Jack and Sam (Act 3)
Jack & Sam are Chester-le-Street’s second finest alternative comedy double act. They previously ran Silly Billies Comedy and could be heard on BBC Newcastle’s ‘Jesting About.’ “Mental” – The Journal, “Mental” – The Crack, “Mental” – The Courier, “Mental” – Narc Magazine.
